Lanna Thai Villa had its soft opening in 2009. Our home stay business was opened in response to the many friends and guests
who expressed the sentiment that we should offer the unique stay and experiences on offer here to the many travelers who come to Thailand seeking a more unique and personalized travel experience. Many tourists see a few well known sites and end up returning home having had minimal contact with the peoples and cultures which make up this fascinating travel destination.
Many well intentioned travelers would like a more authentic travel experience but lacking local contacts and Thai language skills find themselves isolated from a richer vacation experience. Our goal at Lanna Thai Villa is to fill that
gap and facilitate your access to the regions culture and scenery while offering comfortable secure lodgings from which to either center your
experience or serve as a base for trips to outlying areas.
The Thai and American resident owners can offer you the opportunity both to observe and participate in local ceremonies and customs. Sermsri is a native of the village with a large extended family. Steve has been a continuous resident of Thailand for 25 years and was trained in geology and anthropology/archaeology. Both of us welcome your interest and any questions you may have.
